He actually bears a striking resemblance to some of the more cringing orcs from the Lord of the Rings movies.

At this moment, I almost regret not having seen any of those flicks. Of course, I'd lose that sense of entitlement to push your head in a toilet, nerdlinger, so it's, at best, a push.

They're worth seeing, with a caveat that they aren't perfect. Still, considering how badly he could have fucked them up, the level of quality is reasonably stunning.

It's about as good an adaptation of the books as I can imagine while still keeping it, you know, entertaining.

I think the franchise is a case where the sum is more than the parts, actually.

I doubt I'll ever see them. The subject matter just doesn't interest me. I've never liked fantasy. For the same reason that I can't imagine I'll ever see Brokeback Mountain—don't like romances, don't like westerns, so there's not much there for me.

Perhaps you'd rather see Bareback Mountain. :shifty:

Could you imagine though the absolute chaos which would ensue after Fox News reported what is on Hoy's iPod?

Less than what would happen if the exact contents were posted here. But that's because we know what to be outraged by.

Flipped on the television for a few minutes while I was cleaning the kitchen and caught CNN running a segment which played as a love-letter to Arizona ranchers who support the new Immigration law. The entire segment was full of unfounded speculation with no attempt by CNN to question or correct any of the "facts" being presented, and CNN lovingly framing the entire debate in terms of What's The Best Way To Keep The Illegals Out of Our Country?

Then they led into a segment on how great school uniforms are and how well they affect children's behaviour and I turned the television off in disgust.
