Pffft. You should have made promises of a gaming nature (I originally wrote that as "ham-ing" which also would have worked).eumaas wrote:http://clashcity.com/boards/viewtopic.p ... 15#p179483Flex wrote:What a fun game: http://thisisterrorism.com/post/5507775 ... -was-black
Anyway, one thing this topic reminds me of is the polling which was linked upthread about attitudes towards minorities among the tea partiers. But the one kinda horrifying stat which is in the full spread of results is that 56% of all white Americans - not just Tea partiers - think that black inequality would be solved if blacks just worked harder. Yikes.

In regards to point two, Tolstoy and the Catholic Worker Movement both come to mind.

Also, anyone using the bible to justify anything is probably used to cherry picking quotes and examples and conveniently ignoring counterevidence.Dr. Medulla wrote:I'm guessing that by biblical he means confined to the Bible.eumaas wrote:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-walli ... 92170.html

I'm pretty sure Tolstoy and Dorothy Day used the Bible to help justify their anarchism, using just the approach you mention of course.Wolter wrote:Also, anyone using the bible to justify anything is probably used to cherry picking quotes and examples and conveniently ignoring counterevidence.Dr. Medulla wrote:I'm guessing that by biblical he means confined to the Bible.eumaas wrote:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-walli ... 92170.html
