Pffft. You should have made promises of a gaming nature (I originally wrote that as "ham-ing" which also would have worked).

Anyway, one thing this topic reminds me of is the polling which was linked upthread about attitudes towards minorities among the tea partiers. But the one kinda horrifying stat which is in the full spread of results is that 56% of all white Americans - not just Tea partiers - think that black inequality would be solved if blacks just worked harder. Yikes.
