Please don't die, crazy thread!

Hey darter, do you think Cat Stevens should be prosecuted for his complicity in the 9/11 attacks?
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

How the hell should I know...you think they allow my people in Branson?

I love that line on the Simpsons when Homer is talking about Branson: "It's like Las Vegas if Ned Flanders ran things."

Having been to "The Strip" at Branson, I can confirm the truth in that. It's about as trashy a place can be, while still feeling squeaky-clean and uber-Christian. I bought a Ferlin Husky CD there just because it seemed like the right thing to do.

Is that one of the all-time greatest names or what? It could also be a porn name or an indie band name or a breed of dog.

Totally. By the way, he starred in a series of REALLY shitty Beverly Hillbillies ripoff movies with Mamie Van Doren, which is actually where I first heard of him.

In theory, I don't know how Ferlin Husky, Mamie Van Doren, and Beverly Hillbillies could be lame, but I'll chalk it up to too much of a good thing.

Well, I enjoyed the two I saw immensely, but they were objectively awful.
