That's what they should do out of ideological sympathy, but you know that they'd want to fight for the party machinery and resources, and to fool diehard working-class Labour voters that they represent their interests.

No one has had a genuine interest to represent diehard working-class Labour voters in years. That's what makes Corbyn a sore thumb.

I suspect that the upcoming Clinton presidency will go a long way to revitalizing a proper left in the US. The Democrats and Blairites delegitimize themselves by failing to address a miserable reality of their own making.

A nice little death dance, with the winner getting the party name and machinery. It certainly belies the idea that New Labour is all about pragmatism.
