Do a GIS of Blake Farenthold and ask yourself whether you'd hire him to be the assistant night manager at a Krispy Kreme let alone be a Congressperson. It's stunning how many flatly ridiculous-looking people rise in politics. Maybe that's comforting, that it isn't just some beauty contest, but the guy looks like a comb8nation of Louie Anderson and Stuart Pankin.

He's on tap to play Flounder in "Animal House: The Musical" on Broadway. I guess we just do things opposite of Canada down these parts?

(Also, I would totally see "Animal House: The Musical.")

Animal House is one of those movies I can never not watch if I notice that it's on. And so much of the humour has grown to be transgressive (or more so) as our own times change.

Mind you, Peter King is a cancerous turd who should be shot into the sun, but he's right about Bannon: "He looks like a disheveled drunk." My favourite anonymous comment about Bannon was that he looks like the first guy your mom fucks after the divorce.

*snort* I'm far from the first person to make the observation, but it's so rare to see a white nationalist who actually looks like an ubermensch. Most of them look like the kind of genetic disasters and general fuck-ups that the Nazis saw plaguing humanity.

That's, uh, that's a helluva suicide note. Crazy and defiant. Very Republican.

John Kasich is a fascinating amalgam of awareness and total obliviousness. As if the values he endorses haven't been nurturing misery and anger over the past several decades.

He's moving slightly to the right in order to stand on their ticket.
