edit: I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, tho the nostalgia factor was likely skewing the favourability here. It's definitely pop and of the synth dance variety, but overall it's not very rosy sounding and even incorporates more Middle Eastern rhythms and sounds to the package. Which doesn't make this a radical statement and way forward or anything, but it is a distinct from most of the early MTV bands. I likely won't listen to it again for some time, but if I do it won't be a guilty pleasure.
FINALLY, some closure.

I find the idea of worshipping a mystical God to be a bizarre concept although I understand it and part of me is jealous of those who have strong religious beliefs. However the concept of treating a human as if he is some sort of deity is well beyond my reality and something I will never understand.

I went to a birthday dinner and the Pope's Vespers service was on the tv. When we sat down to eat I said, "I guess we don't have to say grace."

Got some good laughs.

I was just thinking pretty much the same thing. I didn't find him especially funny as a kid—way over my head—but seeing clips as an adult makes me appreciate his act quite a bit.
