https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/ ... -agreement
Canada’s foreign minister Stéphane Dion said he was “prudently optimistic” that the treaty could be signed: “If it happens, it is excellent news.” But he added that “a scalded cat fears cold water”.

The predictable spillover from the US election makes its way north: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ra ... -1.3851350

Especially chilling about this is that Ottawa is a pretty cosmopolitan town given all the embassies and ethnic neighbourhoods. The neighbourhood where this happened is also pretty upscale.

Seems apropos. Our national bird is one I've never seen nor even heard of. Way to not pick the obvious one—the one that is everywhere and has, like, Canada in its name.

Why don't you take your REAL national bird back so us 'Murcans can walk on our own sidewalks and parklands without stepping in 80,000 lbs. of goose shit and blown debris from the trashcans they tip over. And not be hissed at and chased by ill-tempered packs of honking disease bags while we go about our daily business!

Kangarooland's ambassador to the US is named Joe Hockey. How the fuck is he not assigned to Canada?

In the summer, my biking route takes me past the American ambassador's residence. I always ceremonially spit while going by; I might graduate to futile muttering or yelling.

I'm legit proud of spitting on Cromwell's tomb when I visited Westminster Abbey with Flex.
