Finally, some good layoffs

Post by JennyB »

From Gawker:

Focus on the Family, the official religious arm of all that is wrong and bad in America, is laying off 149 hateful scumbags. That's 21% of their workforce! They'll all be forced to roam the streets of Colorado Springs, hopefully resorting to cannibalism or possibly having the gay sex they've always secretly longed for in exchange for the drugs they're all addicted to. Also four of the group's eight magazines will now appear only on-line. Eight magazines! Jesus! Apparently donations to Dr. James Dobson's International House of Cartoonish Intolerance are way down, on account of the Christian right being demoralized by our Muslim Terrorist President-elect. So, hey, let's all celebrate! A round of abortions on us!

The sooner these totalitarians get utterly booted out of politics the better.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I'm confused—does this mean that god is displeased with them or is this a test of faith?

(Likewise the latest round of fires in California—is it a celebration fire over Prop 8 or is he angry?)

Answers:
(1) It's a test of faith.
(2) God's angry because Americans elected president a Muslim socialist baby killer.

I don't know whether she's been genuine since she jumped ship back in Sept or Oct, or whether she's just more cynically staking out new territory in upcoming GOP civil war.

I also enjoyed Chuck Hegel's recent comments on the idiot wing of his party.

The Obama Republicans are an interesting group. While they repudiate the rabble, I'm not sure I agree with their version of conservatism either. Let's see how that develops...

I suspect that at this point they don't know what they believe anymore, not in any practical sense. They know that the movement conservatives have dumbed down their party to the point of incoherence, and that, in some sense, the Friedman-Reagan thing didn't work. But what to replace that with is still up in the air. For those who bought into the Reagan view, this is thirty years down the drain. That doesn't get replaced easily.
