It used to be different, but I no longer have any interest in elections or politicians. Politicians are mostly corrupt power freaks. I remember the wave of optimism when New Labour finally got elected in 97, which has now given way to mass disillusionment about immigration, asylum seekers, education and our all powerful Nanny State.
It seems they're all as bad as each other. No referendums on major issues, secrets being withheld from the public domain and much champagne quaffed and profitable memoirs issued.
Smoking banned in all places except prisons FFS.
Mass murderers with DVD players and Playstations feasting on Christmas dinners that your average pensioner can't afford.
Unemployed families being housed in huge mansions at the taxpayer's expense.
Millions of employable people on huge sickness benefits for years on end.
