Do not make the mistake of assuming these racists to be stupid. Their worldview is skewed, but much of the leaders exhibit a high degree of sophistication. Totalitarianism often attracts intellectuals.

The Klan is pretty much a social club. Metzger doesn't have much to do with the traditional Klan.
