It took 3 days for me to get kicked out this August. The defendant was a drug dealer and I had to tell them I was a drug user, and they still let me simmer for 24 hours more.

Just get together with one of the people in your jury pool and pretend you already know each other...that's how I got out of jury duty.

It might not get you tossed, but the humour factor is high.

I'd wear this, my personal favorite shirt. But turn it backwards.

I have a black t-shit that just has the word "slut" on it in lowercase typewriter font. I'd let you borrow it, but I imagine it would take a few days to reach you.

when I had to go in August, it was: Sit in a room for two hours, call your name, go to another room, where they pronounce lunch time. 2 hours. Everyone's not here? We have to wait. OK, lets pick a jury, it's too late for that, come back in the morning.

Next morning, everyones not here, we have to wait. Over an hour. Let's pick a jury, wait its lunchtime, 2 hours. It just went on and on, I didn't even get spoken to til the 3rd day when I got myself kicked out. Ridiculously inefficient. I lost any respect I may have had for the system, which wasn't much to begin with.

My father got jury summons in July despite being 1) a felon, and 2) deceased.
