Snopes is so much fun. Back in 2001, I practically spent an entire weekend reading the site.

I reconnected with my junior high best friend recently. She now lives in the south. She forwards me a lot of anti-Obama emails so I'm going to throw that link up every time she does. I am amazed at what some people will believe and spread around to others.

myrightwingdad.blogspot.com is a great site for the various crazy emails that prove Obama is a Muslim Marxist Martian Manchurian Candidate.

A 106-year-old American nun living in a convent in Rome could well be the oldest person to vote in the 2008 US Presidential election.

Sister Cecilia Gaudette, who last voted for President Eisenhower in 1952, has registered to vote and says she will vote for Democrat Barack Obama.

...

Asked about her hopes for the US under an Obama presidency, she says: "Peace abroad. I don't worry about the Iraq war because I can't do anything about it. Lord knows how it will end."

"It is very complicated," she said. "Those Eastern people are not like we are."

It has always been my understanding that Obama is a sleeper for the Iranians while McCain was programmed in Viet Nam to "go active" on behalf of the North Koreans, should he become president after a forty year period of dormancy. Coordinating both these efforts are the secretive Inuits, who, from their ill-lit Arctic vantage, can reach any country in the northern hemisphere and indeed, have hedged their bets by placing Sarah Palin, wife of an Inuit, in position to assume the presidency should McCain become incapacitated by senility. How else to explain the Palin pick? The Inuits, of course, have been trying for decades to melt the polar caps by warming the planet through carbon burning or nuclear blast - all to get rid of the hated polar bears.

And don't forget the oil. Should have known the Inuits were behind all of this. I suppose it serves us right for sending them pulp fiction featuring Conan the Barbarian to stock their libraries. Crom be damned!

As the Robert E. Howard of this board, I take umbrage.

P.S. Does that mean D'Onofrio plays me in the movie? Sweet.

Revelations -- Chapter 13

This will make you think: A Trivia question in Sunday School:

How long is the beast allowed to have authority in Revelations?

In Revelations, Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is. Almost a four-year term of a Presidency.
All I can say is 'Lord, Have mercy on us!' According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is: The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with p ersuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal...the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything..

Do we recognize this description?? I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to post this as many times as you can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet.. do it! I refuse to take a chance on this unknown candidate who came out of nowhere.
Wow, Revelations is so fucking prophetic that it references Muslims centuries before the religion of Islam was created!
