Surprise surprise the dup says NO to supporting deal. The pm dances an internal jig of joy at the news.

Can there ever have been a party with less than 2% of the total seats in parliament that held so much power and wreaked so much havoc as the dup? Seems pretty extraordinary by any standards.

Yes. New Zealand First. The leader of the party lost his seat in the election but still made Deputy Prime Minister and was actually Prime Minister whilst the real one was on maternity leave.Low Down Low wrote: ↑27 Mar 2019, 4:58pmCan there ever have been a party with less than 2% of the total seats in parliament that held so much power and wreaked so much havoc as the dup? Y'know, I'm starting to think this whole Brexit thing isn't such a hot idea.

Re: Brexit what Brexit!
After months of demanding the right to say what exactly it wants....parliament says it actually doesn’t know what it wants.
The person who “wins” is the pm who will step down “when brexit is delivered” which isn’t looking likely for a good while now. Beginning to wonder if she isn’t smarter than we give her credit for.
That’s about my best summation of another fairly surreal night.

I don't think anyone involved in this clusterfuck is going to be confidently filling out a Mensa application.Low Down Low wrote: ↑27 Mar 2019, 6:43pmBeginning to wonder if she isn’t smarter than we give her credit for.

Even is she wanted to go she couldn't go. I wish she would and she knows she could.

Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...

That's beautifully put. Right out of Lewis Carroll. Appropriate for the "through the looking glass" observations.
