Good to know and somewhat sad. Oh well...
I can admit to being somewhat less informed than I should be. Between being a dad for two small humans and working a full time job - I can be guilty of not digging into the details. I’ve heard some of Kennedy’s rebuttals to the GOP and they make for good soundbites. I really kind of wanted to believe in him and to be honest - I’ll do my own digging tomorrow - but really too bad.
I think you're gonna be hard pressed to find any politician that's admirable.
Or, more precisely, any politician at the national level. The closer you get to the local level, the better and more sincere the people. The respectability and interest in service of any politician decreases as their electoral constituency increases.
Come on now, we all know Mayorbot 5000...
I assure you that as corrupt and in the pocket of Big Microchip he is now, he'd be even worse if he ascended the ladder.

I'm a moral quagmire waiting to happen.

of course my heart is with Depeche, which a friend described as "the evil Duran Duran."

He also called Nick Cave the evil Leonard Cohen. It's a solid classification system.
I always thought, at least with the first two albums, DD really wanted to be Japan. That being said, their bassist is a monster.
Japan's legit. Sylvian worked with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Holger Czukay.

I'm a big fan. I wish they had stayed together longer—it would have been cool to see what they came up with after Tin Drum.

My heart is ALWAYS with Depeche. I was listening to music on my phone at work yesterday while stuffing envelopes (the joy of working at a not for profit - end of year tax letters), and Policy of Truth came on. I think it's the weakest song on Violator. When that is your album's weakest song, you know you are doing something right.

A View To a Kill is a great song. There. I said it.
