Well, Democrats, I think you've been challenged to put up or shut up. :shifty:

Also, this is a total aside, but I wonder if this guy has tax exempt status. Because if he does, he just violated the rules. Not that anyone will enforce them, but still.

It would be "uncivil" for liberals to point it out if he was breaking the rules. Better to go high and just tut tut, tsk tsk.

I dunno. Liberals love to point out conservatives are breaking the rules, even as conservatives prove daily the rules are meaningless.

Sorry, I meant pursue some type of action, not point out. Yes, liberals are all about tut tutting while pointing out conservative less-than-good behaviour.

Never ever forget that Democrats are evil pigfuckers. Just because their main foes are even more evil piggierfuckerers doesn't change that fact. Just because they are to the left of the Republicans on many cultural issues, that doesn't make them even remotely left, especially in their fealty to corporate power.

I mean why bother even trying to slow the apocalypse? Let’s just render the earth uninhabitable because the entrepreneurial donor class will be safe in their high tech environmental bubble and the plebeians can burn.

Liberals and leftists often laugh at working class dopes who somehow think that Republican operatives actually give a shit about them, that a party dedicated to gutting the social safety net and further empowering the rich actually cares about the average chump. But it's no less delusional that liberals are, deep down, really concerned about the middle and working class. Both bases want to believe that their respective elites are so much better than they are. That's the only thing that keeps a shitty system working. Okay, maybe I need to be more accepting of the idea of false consciousness than I have been.

His campaign definitely brought best-practices from his indie music career to their merch table. . .

Even tho he says he isn't planning on running for the nomination in 2020, whether he wins or not the Senate race in 2018, Beto O'Rourke is going to have a shitload of pressure on him to run. His youth and charisma is going to have any number of liberal activists telling him he's the only one who can beat Trump because of the weaknesses of all the other possibilities. It'll take immense character for him to stay out, assuming he really doesn't want to do it. And he actually does come off as a better national candidate—I'm just talking about appeal, not quality—than one for Texas.

Just got a call from the Randy Bryce campaign (the Dem running for Paul Ryan's seat). My dad is very involved politically on a local level and usually hosts phone banks and such. I guess he volunteered me for 12 hours of knocking on doors this weekend. 6 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday...
