Coincidentally, I just read about this a couple days ago in Francis Wheen's Strange Days Indeed.

I'm utterly sick at the cruelty and misery awaiting those to be deported. The darkness in my heart is reserved for those who voted for all this, even if from ignorance. My hope is that they gain sufficient awareness of their responsibility that their days are permanently scarred with guilt. At bare minimum, they should be shunned by everyone who once cared for and befriended them. I want cancel culture to actually become a thing now.

HOWELL, Mich. (WLNS)— A group of people were seen waving Nazi flags in two different Mid-Michigan cities, including outside of a Jewish play.

Many people were waving flags with swastikas on them in front of the American Legion Post in Howell. At the same time, the Fowlerville Community Theater performed the “Diary of Anne Frank” on Saturday night.

One witness says the men had their faces covered with masks that read 1488, a symbol of white supremacy.

Alex Sutfill, who was driving downtown with his wife at the time says he called the police after seeing the group.

“There was a group of people at the four-way intersection in downtown that had swastika flags and American flags,” said Sutfill. “They were sticking their arms up and yelling hail Hitler and Hail Trump and everything like that.”

Peter Damerow, who confronted the group says they told him to go back to his country.

I think this is among the lines of accelerationism: that rather than trying to constrain capitalism from its worst tendencies, heightening its contradictions can lead to is downfall quicker and if done consciously then we can help guide what comes after to our preferred outcome.

It's pretty nihilistic, so get it as an emotional response but I don't think its something that should actually seriously be acted on or embraced.

It gives in to abstraction. It ignores that for it to work, millions and millions will endure a scarring misery and will die. It's also the same mentality that has justified brutal industrialization—yes, you suffer, but it's to build something better. If the left chooses to replicate the logic (well, rationalization) of the right but for its own ambitions, I don't see what makes the left better.
