I legit don't know, but I'd suggest that rebelliousness is as rooted in experience and/or genetics as it is in capacity for abstract thought and reasoning.

I totally agree, it just seems that someone with a high IQ is going to be pretty unlikely to just follow orders they don't agree with. Unless it benefits them in some other way, I guess...which is also probably not desirable for any recruiters. It's at least something concrete they can use to thin out the applicants as opposed to something they don't know about like experience or genetics.

Yeah, I can see that. Not a perfect test, but presumed to be better than nothing, at least for an early means of thinning the pool. There has to be more involved psychiatric testing, too.
