MISANDRY!!!!
To be fair, male cats do, almost guaranteed, get urinary tract problems. They're friendlier than female cats, but are more prone to health problems. Which is why we decided to adopt two girls. But green velvet fur has to overrule all that.

Crazy vivid dream that I had before waking up: I was watching football on television. It was the end of a standard running play, guy gets tackled in a pile. Then the camera suddenly jerks to the backfield where two refs are beating the fuck out of each other. Just devastating haymakers like in Every Which Way But Loose. This leads to the players all brawling. Some are fighting other refs, some are fighting opposing players, some are fighting teammates. A completely insane melee. Then the camera catches one player who has a ref in a sleeper hold, his forearm is crushing the ref's throat. Then he lets go and everyone stops fighting because they know that the ref is dead, and then everyone runs for the locker rooms, leaving the body on the field. That's when I woke up.

Had a vivid dream last night that a close friend of my wife died and I was going to her funeral.
Woke up this morning to find out that the younger brother of one of my oldest friends died suddenly overnight.

A rather involved and (seemingly) long dream last night. I was researching some topic of 19th c American history and I was contacted via my iPad by a ghost who wanted me to solve a murder that took place in late 19th c Iowa. The ghost had been a university professor and wasn't the victim in question. So we'd ask each other questions via a text program, as he helped me locate documents and I'd report back what I'd found. Right before I woke up, I started wondering whether I was actually being used to set up an innocent person.

Is this a metaphor for the faceless ennui of academic research?

My dream last night: just hanging out with Dan Harmon. No idea why that popped in.

In my dream state, it was far more exciting. Like I was actually accomplishing something. So, yeah, in a roundabout way, you're probably right. X(

Was he more funny or more dickish?

Neither! He was boring. This is the second time I've had a Dan Harmon dream and in both cases he didn't do/say jack worth reporting. Why was he even in there?

+1

My dream where I met Larry David at an airport was pretty boring too, except I was really happy that I met him. No such joy for apparently being Dan Harmon's friend.

Deep down, you know that celebrities are dull people and your brain ain't going to fool you into thinking otherwise, even during nap time.

I was at one of those 1970s or 80s tv teen basement parties—wood paneling, shag carpeting, smooching on the couches—and Curt Schilling showed up, like he was the father of the house. He was the current bloated, red-eyed Schilling and he was spouting his racist crap and making a point of farting loudly.

So if dreams are wish fullfillment then you wish Curt Schilling was your friend's dad when you were a kid?

Is it too late for me to go back to my dream state and bring a machete?

A real meat grinder of a dream last night. I had been diagnosed with some kind of illness of condition and the doctors recommended euthanization. I agreed that it made the most sense. So I'm going around saying goodbye to people and becoming increasingly distraught. I don't want to die yet but it makes the most sense given the diagnosis. I'm almost paralytic, trying to figure a way out of this. I finally tell the doctors that I'll just accept this disease no matter how much it compromises me and if I need to commit suicide later on, I'll do it. And the rest of the dream is spent normally. Not even any evidence of being sick after that.
