I'd like to see a WAS/BAL series because it would be fun. I'm pulling for NATSTOWN

Nostalgic for 1966, are ya?

I don't think the Dodgers are good enough t beat WAS.

I think Angels are best team, and record proves, but I worry about thin and sometimes inconsistent rotation.

Same thing I root for every year my team isn't good enough to win any greater than 1 round: whichever matchup is so boring and low-rated it causes Joe Buck to decide to scale back his on-air duties to only football. :shifty:

I'm always in favour of whatever punishes Fox for its sports-as-celebrity watching strategy. Pittsburgh-Kansas City should pretty much fit the bill, no?

Pirates-Angels would be good for me, tho, because McCutcheon and Trout are probably my two favourite non-Red Sox players these days (now that Jeter's retired, of course).

edit: Gardenhire, I hope, will always treasure that one time he beat the Yankees in a playoff game.

CORRECTION: Gardenhire won two games against the Yankees in four series (2-12 cumulative record). I apologize for diminishing his accomplishments by 50%.

Hey Selig, you shit-breath fungo-fucker, will you announce the fucking game times of the division series because some of us have to coordinate schedules with our employers, or did you retire a month early?

I put in a call. He owes me for suggesting he make the All-Star Game count.

It's been said that manager's don't win games with their decisions, they can only lose them. Yost has a lights-out bullpen at his disposal, but when he pulls Shields, he goes with a starter who pitched on Sunday. Who promptly gives up a go-ahead 3-run homer. I had flashbacks to game 7 of the 2003 ALCS, when Little had a kickass bullpen available to protect a late lead and decided, nah, I'm not gonna use it. Little and Yost would have had their brains blown out on the beaches of Normandy. Hell, they wouldn't have gotten two steps out of the boat before they froze and been shot.
