I've got a better-than-average sense of direction and ability to read maps, but I only had to drive in Boston once to say "never again." It's an engineering marvel that efficiently separates natives from non-natives, leaving the latter confused and frustrated prey for the former.Rat Patrol wrote:http://oi43.tinypic.com/oh60di.jpg
London's similar. There's parts of Soho that even on foot, are a notoriously confusing maze of twisting, identical streets that I still haven't gotten completely to grips with.Dr. Medulla wrote:I've got a better-than-average sense of direction and ability to read maps, but I only had to drive in Boston once to say "never again." Meanwhile, Chicago is 95% Cartesian grid, and anyone who gets lost there is probably in need of some Darwinian herd-thinning.Silent Majority wrote:London's similar. Some Boston suburbs are lands of magical, Christmasy whimsy, too.
