Did he celebrate by banging a bunch of female robots?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The joke would be less effective by muddying up the analogy.

Previous victim. The robot's nothing but amiable when a camera isn't around. But when one is...

Christ, yet another perfect 22 minutes of comedy. I know we say this kind of stuff all the time, but golden era Simpsons was like a new Beatles single every week.

There's a few I don't like. The Kirk Douglas one with the hobo who made the Ishy. Bart and Lisa in military school. The boxing episode is essentially laugh free.

Not all Beatles singles are exceptional, either, but you don't like the Kirk Douglas one? "Look out, Itchy, he's Iri—" Oh, I see.

I will say that even the crappier ones in the golden age usually have at least one exceptional stand-out moment.
