I'm currently enjoying the hell out of the Regular Show. The absurdity can be sublime.

I think it suffered a bit from coming out around the same time as Adventure Time and being compared to it, but it's pretty good.
I love these Mordecai and Rigby raps
Plus Mordecai and I have similar feelings about mayo.
We can't be the only ones watching/have watched this.

I'm not sure that IMCT is very Cartoon Network-centric, other than Venture Bros.

England v Australia in the Cricket World Cup. England really need this win, and they're throwing it away. For the bookies' favourites, they haven't been exceptional. Great Aussie bowling though has to be said.

Roll on The Ashes.

Watched an episode of Blackadder this morning (fourth season) and I finally realized why it hasn't aged well for me. It's not the script or performance, it's the clumsy laugh track. A laugh track is normally detrimental anyway, but in Blackadder it's (a) really loud and (b) really abrupt. It's so jarring that it ruins the flow. Laugh tracks are for weak comedies (e.g., Big Bang Theory) not strong.

My favourite season. Rik Mayall is fantastic in that one episode. The finale of the series is perfect as well, hilarious but moving at the end. Your point about laugh tracks is totally valid though, never liked them, a genuinely funny comedy doesn't need them.

My favourite series is three. Dreading the new episode, but you'd better believe I'll watch it.

Third is my favourite as well, mainly because Hugh Laurie is exceptional as the imbecilic prince, but the fourth one is greatly respected for its obvious rejection of jingoism.

Four is too broad, imo, excepting the sublime last episode

Are they making a new series?

There were rumours years ago of a series set in the future but that never happened. A series set today would be interesting.

Twenty years after the last special and thirty after the series proper ended, it seems ripe for being disappointing—it was a product of a time that is well removed from our own—but as James said, of course I'll watch it.

I'll watch it but can't say I'm anticipating it to be half as good as 2, 3 and 4.

Series 2 might be the most perfect 6 episodes of TV ever broadcast.
