Ok squad I need some advise. I finally got Netflix so (from what I have read) I have a few years of great TV to catch up on!!
My first 2 choices of season2 Fargo and The Americans unfortunately aren’t on there so to keep MrsW happy we started with Suits.
I haven’t seen Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders, The Crown etc etc
Can I have recommendations please.
I'm three seasons into Breaking Bad and absolutely loving it.

My other favourite series was Dexter. Although it tailed off towards the end the first four or five seasons were fantastic.
I thought BB was excellent. Never watched Dexter though.
If you're ever stuck for something to watch, give it a go. The first four seasons are tremendous, especially seasons 2 and 3. John Lithgow is great in it, a real bad ass.
Its one of those shows I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't like is one of the main reasons. I couldn't sleep one night and now Im hooked on the Killing (US version).
Does she not like serial killer stuff? My girlfriend loved it, the gore is understated.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Finally tracked down The Americans on Lightbox.
Watched series 1 years ago and loved it but they never screened series 2 and now I find out there are 5 series.
Started again from the first pilot and remember why I thought it was great.

No, not her cup of tea. She grew up in a nasty dictatorship and killing "as entertainment" so to speak is just something she doesn't get. She is okay with it in a fantasy sense (LOTR, Star Wars etc) and were we to start watching she might get pulled into a good storyline but the initial reaction tends to be negative.

Never tackled US version of the Killing partly because I just can’t imagine how it could possibly measure up to the amazing Danish original. I still get chills thinking about the first series of that show.

Also looking forward to the third season of The Bridge which is coming soon.

Dexter was fantastic - especially the Lithgow season - until that turd of a final season.

Started watching Handmaid’s Tale, anyone watched it?
Not sure about it yet and don’t want to invest in a whole series if anti climax.

I'm curious too, don't have Hulu and haven't gotten around to acquiring it by other means. I saw the movie years ago.

Just watched "The Alienist" on Netflix and enjoyed it.

About to tackle "The Crossing" on Amazom Prime.

The Alienist is on Netflix over there? It had its run here on TNT or TBS I think.

I saw it and liked it. Season 2 is rolling now, so I imagine it's not adapted from the book at this point.

And it's outstanding. I loved the book so they had an uphill battle for me to like it, but they basically nailed the shit out of it.
