I buy mlb.tv every season, so I can watch 99% of Sox games and I buy NBC sports premiere league streaming package so I can watch West Ham. I may pick up an ESPN streaming sub and/or a Fubotv sub to round that out, or I may just extra-legally stream stuff as needed.
The last bit is what i terest me the most and I need to look into this further. It isnt that Im opposed to paying for say MLB to watch NYY games, its more that I would only get to watch some bits of games some of the time. My wife is notoriously bad if I turn on a baseball game.
Reddit has sections with links to pirate streams of pretty much any sport. The links can be temperamental, tho, but largely workable. Like Flex, tho, I do pay for mlb.tv for Sox games.

We are cutting the cord today. I'm 99% happy with this decision, but the only thing I will miss is being able to DVR shows. Also, evidently the CW doesn't put their shows on Hulu, so I will have to wait for Riverdale, iZombie and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to come on Netflix. Otherwise, it's pretty useless for us to have cable. We don't watch sports at all.
Going to be doing the same shortly. I've kept cable for the last few years almost exclusively for sports, but most of the sports I watch most I can stream and we already carry several subscription services (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) which takes care of most of what we watch. Well, what the lady friend watches.I barely watch non-sports TV anymore. We move in May, and so the cable just isn't going to move with us.
I'll let you know how it goes.
There's what you might call many extra legal ways of seeing your favorite shows. You have to be careful with some sites though as if youre not careful youll get a buttload of spam.

Flex, what are you using for live sports? Thats the one thing that keeps me ties to the cable box.
My friend actually gave me his spectrum password, so we should actually be all set!

Glad to hear the “danger Will Robinson” comment at the end, couldn’t remake it without that!

The boss and I have been watching Bewitched of late. Fuck Durwood is an asshole. The whole show should be seen as Friedan-like feminist rage about dickhead husbands who keep women from truly expressing themselves.

Ok squad I need some advise. I finally got Netflix so (from what I have read) I have a few years of great TV to catch up on!!
My first 2 choices of season2 Fargo and The Americans unfortunately aren’t on there so to keep MrsW happy we started with Suits.
I haven’t seen Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders, The Crown etc etc
Can I have recommendations please.

Depends on what you and the missus are into.

Of what's on, Ive enjoyed
Stranger Things
Daredevil
Jessica Jones (David Tenant has a great role)
Luke Cage
The Punisher - pretty violent
Altered Carbon
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Bojack Horseman
Norsemen
Ozark
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Ash vs Evil Dead - also pretty violent but in a humorous way.

Have seen all those you’ve mentioned, bar the Crown, and would vote unreservedly for Mad Men. Great script and characters. Kind of feel a lot of the allusions and referenced escaped me first time round so am intending to go back to the beginning some time soon.

Good point mate. I'm not really sure if all areas get the same. Maybe it will come to you shortly.

Maybe Star Trek. I hope when it ends, Harmon explicitly blames that segment of fans for ruining it all.
