So how graphic is it? Just wondering if this is a solo exercise.
Very, but the impact is diluted by comedy.
I would say the same thing but Maggie still won't watch it. I, on the other hand, totally dig.
Yeah I'm pretty sure my wife would not go for it.
What grown woman doesn't like Drew Barrymore? It's unheard of!
Yeah man, c'mon!

The missus doesn't hate Drew it's more the eating of human flesh and perhaps the trivialization of that kind of violence that she usually doesn't go for. Which is not to say the show does that as I haven't seen it and I think I would likely go for it but she probably would not so ...

the show DEFINITELY trivializes the violence of zombies eating people.

it is a good, funny, sometimes gross show. high recommendation from me as well.

I was a little torn about whether to watch it when I found out she was a zombie rather than your run-of-the-mill cannibal. She's a very high functioning zombie, so it was hard to tell from the trailer I watched, but I got over it by the first episode.

I watched the first episode during my recent return from the outer rings of hell.
First impression was good cast I always like Andy Richter and Nathan Fillion is good most of the time, it was wierd to see "the waitress" in a different role though.

Second impression was the comedy seemed forced at times.

I'll keep watching until I feel myself liking it more or until I've had enough.

Other show I've really been enjoying lately is Baskets.

Another Battlestar Galactica observation: It's obvious that the Cylons can track the fleet because they keep on meeting up with them. So why the fuck don't they order several of those quasi-Death Stars to just crash into the Galactica and call it a war. Ta-da! Do they have to worry about draining resources or satisfying Cylon public opinion? As machines, they are always on a suicide mission, so get it the fuck over with. (Strictly speaking, the Empire was also unnecessarily hamstrung in its commitment of resources. Stormtroopers exist to be killed so kamikaze them as a basic strategy.)
The Boss is out of town for a couple weeks, so I usually watch some dumb series that she'd have no interest in. I decided to see how much of Battlestar Galactica (original) I could stand. Similar to my above comment from long ago, I was struck by the silliness of having Cylons in those fighter ships. What is accomplished by having them insider piloting the craft? It's a machine … working a machine. Cut out the middle man, save the Cylons for on-the-ground jobs, and just upload the fighters with the artificial intelligence to fly themselves. Super advanced robots, my ass.

Also, I couldn't help but feel pity for Lorne Greene. Here's a guy with a distinguished record and he's reduced to reading that inane script.

Happy Valley. Brilliant stuff, even better than Broadchurch.
Late to the party here but this series has been brilliant. Last episode airs tonight. Would love to know if any North Americans have seen it, and what they think of it.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I've seen it all and it's brilliant. I also watched "The Mare of Easttown" with Kate Winslet which is basically a rewrite of "Happy Valley".

Really? I never saw Happy Valley. I'll give it a go, I thought Mare was excellent.

I enjoyed Mare also. But it wasn't till afterwards I felt like I'd seen it all before. It's basically a rewrite. Names and places changed but pretty much everything has striking similarities.
