In my punk class this past winter, I had a student—one of my favourites, I should add—who was seriously into astrology and often dropped it into discussions (apparently my borderline Taurus/Gemini status is quite clear) and it just drove me nuts. I put up with a lot of dumb stuff, but for whatever reason astrology proponents just get me huffing with frustration.

I like it for the entertainment value of it, but I would never center my life around it or drop it into conversations in a serious way the way some do with that whole Mars in retrograde shit. I play around with tarot cards for the same reason. It can be fun as long as you see it for what is.

I collect tarot decks. I think I have about 7 or 8 now.

Rider Waite is a classic for a reason, though I have a soft spot for the super hippie Morgan Greer. Also really like the Fountain deck as a more abstract interpretation. Wild Unknown looks pretty cool.

I've never seen the Morgan Greer deck, but I like it.

My stepmom gave me that deck, she was into that kind of stuff in her younger days. I also have the Crowley and Dali decks, and a kind of funny New Wave deck.
