Did you not know about that one?
Oh yeah, but it's a harsh reminder of how icky white bread Super Bowl halftimes used to be. When I was around 14 or 15, because my dad was big in Rotary, my family billeted an Up With People performer from Oklahoma. He was creepy friendly and happy, like a hypnotized cult member. I hadn't even found punk yet, but I knew he was the enemy of all that was truly good in the world.

I remember when Deadspin ran that. Sports generates some head-scratching ideas.

In solidarity with the board's two most prominent New England residents and boosters, revbob and Rat Patrol, I shall be supporting their New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. It's a minor thing, but I'll back your rooting interest.

I loathe concussionball in all its forms so "hate" is a strong word...but Trump BFF Bob Kraft playing rope-a-dope with sweet home Hartford on that stadium scam 23 years ago was enough to get me to passive-aggressively much enjoy both Pats nutpunch SB losses to the Giants. :shifty: Image

Hey hey hey. You support the GOP Gov who wanted to piss public money to build a millionaire a stadium in some superfund site in Hartford for 8 days of business a year?

I'm super torn, because I hate all of your happiness, and really any happiness based out of Boston, but I also hate the happiness of the city of Atlanta, like...a lot.

I think I'm gonna have to recuse myself.
