Funny sketch comedy that's funny

Sweet action for kids 'n' cretins. Marjoram and capers.

Watching re run of Gavin and Stacey, always makes me laugh.
Interesting how the two distinct styles of comedy mesh yet you can tell there are two writers and who adds what.

... Scott T is the only one of them that's aged well, really.
Yep. It did seem to happen overnight. Oh well, happens to the best of us.
Truth be told Kevin McDonald didn't look too bad. He was never "the handsome one" But he hasn't ballooned and still has his fro albeit grayer and receding a bit.

The line about emigration popped in my head, so I had to hunt this down. What a beautiful 3 minutes of snarly comedy.

Oh man, that sucks — he was a favourite when I was growing up and hooked on Carol Burnett Show repeats.

It just came to mind, so I watched it again. Glorious, insane genius.

Went to see Catherine Tate Show live last week. The usual characters and sketches were great but her adlib was brilliant especially when dealing with hecklers, “you ain’t watching the TV love you do realise I can hear you”or when the scene went wrong which it did more than once.

One of my favourite SNL sketches, The Sinatra Group. Phil Hartman perfectly caricatured the thuggish ego of Sinatra.

It was well timed that I accidentally stumbled on this post since I'm in the middle of a book about Black Adder and I'm just to the point that all this stuff was being written.

A friend recently interviewed David Letterman, which included mention of this hilariously horrible moment early into DL's career. You can all but see inside his head, thinking, "What the fuck am I doing here?"

Anyone seen the surreal sketch comedy Big Train? Some sketches are very obscure but a good majority had me crying with laughter. Noted also for one of Simon Pegg's first works.
