This is hilarious! Kate McKinnon is insane (in the best possible way) and who has not stayed at a hotel like this at some point?!
I'm nominating "Trevor" for employee of the month!
I believe that's Billie Eilish's brother in the roll of Trevor.

I've stayed in so many hotels like this for hockey tournaments and they kind of have a special place in my heart. My cold, dead heart.

Eugene Levy has pointed out that Joe Flaherty's character (N) is played as slightly drunk. If you look for it, yeah, it's right there. Just a fun, subtle touch of perversity to these middle-aged super squares.

Making fun of Maritimers used to be standard in Canadian comedy. The good old days. The reference to them hitting the woodchuck was a series of sort-of PSAs in the 70s and 80s called Hinterland's Who's Who, which spotlighted various animals native to Canada, but always seemed to be the woodchuck. And fuckin' Stompin' Tom Connors!

My cousins in Ottawa had all kinds of Newfie jokes. I had no idea what a Newfie was. I blame my uncle the Orangeman for passing that on to his kids, he was a piece of shit.

In Saskatchewan, we didn't do Newfie jokes much—it was mostly an Eastern/Central Canada thing. We did Ukrainian jokes because there are lots of Ukrainians in the west and the first and even second generation had a distinctive enough accent to mock and make them the necessary butt of the joke. Haven't heard Ukrainian jokes since the late 80s or so, tho, which I think is less political correctness than assimilation/acculturation, where the kids of my generation don't have any kind of (non-Canadian) accent.
