Managed two more very good seasons. Fat Mac is the last season I found surprising and great.

No longer spectacular, but still reliably funny.

That ep was an all-timer. The suburbs clip above might be the funniest thing the show's ever done — "NEWS FLASH, ASSHOLE!"

I find the show is still capable of reaching the high notes but at same time if DdV wasn’t in it, I’m not sure I’d still bother with it. I don’t think anything made me laugh harder in recent years than Frank in the skinny jeans. The whole episode Being Frank was a close second though.

... and of course the first ep of the new season kind of sucks.

Well, I was entertained. The Dennis doll was the kind of comedy/nightmare fuel that the show does quite well.

I'm reading that Glenn Howerton has left the show. That kind of tarnishes some of its luster for me.
