Well I got no kids so I do have a lot of time to myself. I have a few movie subscription services, and the more obscure ones monkey helps me steal them off the internet. I watch at least 5 hours of TV a day!
That will be it then.

hey tep, have you seen 2016's The Wailing (korean film)? 2.5 hours but it's a good horror ride.

here's what I wrote in Feb 2017, odd that I diddn't write a full paragraph.

there's a huge buzz going around for The Wailing (2016) the South Korean ghost/possession/zombie/voodoo/virus flick, and while I did think it was pretty good (though extremely long) the overhype gave me the impression that my head was going to explode. My head did not explode.

What threw me off if I'm remembering correctly, is that the main charachetr was bumbling and I thought a moive like this could have done without the comedy.

Fell asleep watching the John Carpenter/Tobe Hooper anthology Body Bags (1993) the other night. Fun if not great. Though I fell asleep during the second segment....might not bode well for the rest.

I enjoyed the first segment. Lots of Easter eggs. Set in Haddonfield, Wes Craven playing a creepy man, George "Buck" Flower playing a hobo again, plus another couple of Carpenter alumni whose names I'm not aware of.

I'm watching Chopping Mall right now and I'm baffled why anyone would even bother trying to make a movie now since the art of film was perfected with this one. Sheer delight.

Just returned from seeing Joker. It's something. Still processing. I do think how much it owes to Taxi Driver in style and execution will keep it from gaining long term acclaim.

May 10th. Thank God for the rain which has helped wash away the garbage and the trash off the sidewalks. I'm workin' long hours now. 6:00 in the afternoon to 6:00 in the morning, sometimes even 8:00 in the morning. Six days a week, sometimes seven days a week. It's a long hustle, but it keeps me real busy. I can take in 300, 350 a week, sometimes even more when I do it off the meter.

All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, jokers. Sick, venal. Someday a real rain'll come and wash all this scum off the streets. I go all over. I take people to the Bronx, Brooklyn, I take 'em to Harlem. I don't care. Don't make no difference to me. It does to some. Some won't even take spooks. Don't make no difference to me.

Taxi Driver, I haven't watched that in decades. I like when he tries to take Cybil Sheppard to the porno movie.
