Elvis’s granddaughter writes a letter to wolf guy (Jeffrey Wright from Westworld) about her son being raked by wolves. He drives up to the Alaskan town to look for unknown reasons. She gets weird and nude and the next morning Westworld goes looking for the wolves. A Native woman tells him that the broad killed the kid. Blah blah, her husband comes back from Iraq, she flees, he goes looking for her to kill. Weirdness, Alaskan Native religion, blah blah. Ok watching if you want to see Elvis’s granddaughter nude.

All Time Fave, tied for Argento's 3rd best movie.

Re: movies
I'd only seen Suspiria and Phenomena before — just picked up a ton of Argento stuff, looking forward to going through them.

Re: movies
Keep me posted. My rankings go:
Profondo Rosso (Deep Red)
Suspiria
Tenebre
Bird
Inferno
Cat of Nine Tails
Phenomena
Four Flies on Grey Velvet
Opera
then the later stuff is much maligned, like a late career Stones record.

Re: movies
I've been meaning to check out the giallo genre for some time, so that list comes in handy.

there's some great non-Argento giallo too, my faves are:
What Have You Done to Solange
The Red Queen Kills Seven Times
Blood and Black Lace
Bay of Blood
New York Ripper
Don't Torture a Duckling
and anything directed by Sergio Martino

Re: movies
I actually did. My girlfriend and I went and saw it. I was not expecting much - memories of the awful 1970's version on my mind - but I was actually quite impressed and think it's the best version of the film that has ever been released. Definitely impressed by Bradley Cooper. Guy did his homework and for a directorial debut - pretty risky when you tackle a well known story. Thought he did a good job of updating the movie for modern times. Big surprise for me was that while I knew Cooper could act and Lady Gaga could perform - I was impressed by how well LG acted and how well Cooper performed. Not the happiest of stories - but I have to admit it was really well done. The acting was solid across the board from the 2 starts to an always awesome Sam Elliott to Dave Chappelle and the music was (for the most part) really good with Cooper writing the majority of the songs with Lukas Nelson (Willie's kid). Also liked that Jason Isbell (one of my fave's) contributed a song!

Re: movies
It also left the both of us feeling somewhat emotionally wrecked upon leaving the theater - which I think is a sign of a well told story. The characters felt real.

Re: movies
I'm assuming it will garner some/several award nominations. Cool side note is that his backing band in the film was Promise of the Real!
