Watched this last night, loved it. Between this and knives out, 2019 was a great year for revenge on the rich films.tepista wrote: ↑10 Jun 2020, 6:04pmLOVE this movie, I saw it in theater, and plan on rewatching soondaredevil wrote: ↑07 Jun 2020, 10:50pmReady Or Not (2019)
After her wedding, The bride (Samara Weaving) becomes the target of a deadly game of hide and seek. Its explained that the old family ancestors had recieved help from someone years ago to build their wealth. In exchange they pay tribute to the mysterious person by having every new family member play a game that is drawn from a box of cards. This is another one I wished I had seen at the theater. You'll laugh when you find out what happens to the family! And the last line is pretty funny too.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop

Re: movies
Ok Knives Out, Daniel Craig is awful so far. Not sure what accent he is trying to do.

We're watching Shadow of a Doubt and I'm annoying the Boss by my running commentary that Uncle Charlie isn't a killer but the infamous Kansas City Cocksucker.

Re: movies
Yeah at some point I decided not to let it ruin it. I was initially caught up with the stupid accent and the premise that seemingly very rich people would answer all these questions without a lawyer and entertain this guy who has absolutely no authority. Id tell him to fuck off. But once I got past all that it was entertaining .
But I could totally see it ruining the whole thing.
Re: movies
So we watched Napoleon Dynamite last night for the first time in a number of years (showing it to VH, Jr. for the first time). It's really not a good movie.

Never seen it. I suspected that I was not its target audience by a wide margin.

Re: movies
I very much disliked it at the time.
Re: movies
I don't understand how it became such an Indie darling. It's awful and stupid. VH, Jr. said "what is the point of this?" and he's right.
