Re: movies
Godfather part 2.
So long ago since I last saw it I didn’t remember large parts so was like watching for the first time.
Agree with all the acclaim it gets, fantastic film.

Re: movies
Re watching the Godfather movies you can see (in my opinion) where The Irishman tried but missed the mark.

Re: movies
back to work, no more eleven movie weeks.
Rabid (2019) Hopeful fashion designer Rose gets her face torn off in a scooter accident, but an experimental medical procedure restores it and she’s prettier than she was in the first place, and much more confident. Side effects include blood sucking armpit parasite, and the suckees become zombie-like creatures themselves. The Soska Sisters (American Mary) reimagining of the David Cronenberg classic from 1978, and though it’s not on the level of the original, it was pretty entertaining.
The rest are rewatches
Victor Crowley (2017) I don’t know why this is not called Hatchet 4, but Adam Green returns to direct and knocked it out of the park. Just like the first installment, we’ve got likable characters and all the jokes hit the mark. Not to mention enough gore to satisfy anyone. Scream Queen vets Felissa Rose and Tiffany Shepis have supporting parts, Tif’s death was especially heartbreaking. Best entry since the first, and just as good the second time.
Train to Busan (2016) Korean zombie apocalypse flick that takes place on a train. Characters include a pregnant couple, a daddy & daughter, and a high school baseball team. The characters were good, so it mattered when they died, which is why I’d say this is one of the better recent zombie flicks. Highly Recommended.
The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs – Season 2 Week 4
Troma's War (1988) A passenger plane crash lands on a tropical island, half the passengers dead, the other half are accused of being Commandos by the multi-country terrorists that reside on the island. Led by a former marine, and some sort of James Bond, the survivors fight back to stop the terrorists evil plot of infecting the entire US with AIDS. Some nudity and lots of kills. I'd estimate over 200. Not bad for a Troma film, but still a Troma film.
Joe Bob’s guest was director and Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman and his wife.
One Cut of the Dead (2017) There’s a good buzz going around on this Japanese zombedy about a zombie break out on the set of a zombie film, and deservedly so. The first half hour was your normal hand-held camera zombie attack, but by the final act I was nothing but smiles. No details, just see for yourself!

Mad Monster Party a Rankin/Bass flick. Caught it on TCM last night. It's a very Meemz film.

I could have lived with this one being the first half hour by itself.tepista wrote: ↑22 May 2020, 3:13pm

Have this on dvd. Try to watch it every spooktober. A classic.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!
