Just got in from clearing snow. The Boss did decide to go run some errands (yay! Brandy!) which meant the driveway was open, so it was best that I start shovelling and snowblowing with the car gone. Took an hour, but it's done. I'd say 1–2 feet. I'll have to do a tidying round tomorrow once the snow is done coming down, but this cleared the biggest load of it.

This is the one chore I'm just not willing to do (nor is VH). Mow the lawn? Fine. Landscape stuff? Fine. But I'm happy to pay the little shit across the street $25 to shovel our driveway out in the cold.

My dad would never say anything to you, but he would privately regard you as of questionable neighbourhood character. He had weird acid tests like that. What's funny/sad is that I've absorbed that, however instinctually, even tho I know it's nonsense. I can't help but raise an eyebrow towards neighbours who are either slow in shovelling or hire a service to do it (unless they're old or have health issues). My neighbour and I back in Saskatoon had an unspoken competition over who would shovel their walk first after a snowfall. We'd exchange good-natured smirks when we finished ahead of the other.
