After a year in Michigan I cannot get enough seafood. The colder the water the better. Oysters, clams, and white flaky fish make up some of the best food on Earth.

Had some beer steamed little neck clams... tasty.

I just mage steamers the other day which I also steamed in beer.

Nice. We pick Pipis out of the surf. Put them in a bucket of water to get the sand out then chuck them straight onto the barbecue hot plate covered in garlic butter

When I was a kid the adults would send us out into the tidal flat with a bucket and a little trowel. We'd dig up clams my the dozen by looking for the little bubbles while the adults drank beer and boxed wine up by the house. We'd bring back out buckets and have a boil of clams, corn on the cob and whole potatoes. It was delightful.

Sounds delicious. Only takes about a minute on bar b just long enough for shell to open. Same with mussels.

It's usually just parsley. Here's a good blow-by-blow recipe. I would omit the spicy sausage.
