I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Re: Dr. Who/Torchwood
From Wikipedia:
AHAHAHA!Time Lord Rock (or Trock) is genre of music akin to Wizard Rock (or Wrock), the term was first coined in 2008 when Doctor Who fan Alex Day, "Nerimon", discovered a lack of music dedicated to the Doctor. He proceeded to write a song, An Awful Lot of Running which he posted on YouTube making him the founder of Trock. Through the help of the internet he formed a musical group with Charlie Mcdonnell, Chris Beattie, and Liam Dryden. It is called Chameleon Circuit named for the component of the TARDIS. There are numerous other amateur musicians within the genre; the small label DFTBA has released two additional Trock collections, an album Trock On! with eighteen tracks from eighteen different Trock artists and an EP Trock Stuff by Tom Milsom.

"Love & Monsters" and "Blink" are two of my favorite episodes so far. Just goddamned great storytelling.

"Love & Monsters" is probably one of my least liked. "Blink" is top notch, though.Flex wrote:"Love & Monsters" and "Blink" are two of my favorite episodes so far. Just goddamned great storytelling.

I thought the main character and his friends were quite endearing. The alien was pretty awful, tho. They seemed to be playing him like Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers films. Still, it was a bit different than normal (as normal as a Dr. Who episode gets, anyways) so it kinda stuck with me.

It's one of the first revival series eps I ever saw. Oddly enough, it aired together with Random Shoes from Torchwood's first series.Flex wrote:eumaas wrote:"Love & Monsters" is probably one of my least liked.

Ha, wonder if that was coordinated on purpose. I like those outsiders-looking-in type stories.eumaas wrote:It's one of the first revival series eps I ever saw. Oddly enough, it aired together with Random Shoes from Torchwood's first series.

Re: Dr. Who/Torchwood
They were just taking the mick out of obsessive fans on Love & Monsters, weren't they? Peter Kay was definitely hamming it up.
