There is a dead ringer for Abe who commutes three mornings a week on the T over here from Davis Square to Central Square on the Red Line subway. I can't stop staring at him. One of these days I'm just going to follow him. I'm that tempted to cross that line between curiosity and stalking.

like a lot of teenagers ,we tried to get a band goin, but we werent dedicated to carry it through. We thought of some great names thogh."THE POWER CUTS","THE STARVATION ARMY",THE SHOCKIN SOCKETS" and for some strange reason,my mate Alex came up with,"THE STRANGULATED ZEBRA'S".THE SHOCKIN SOCKETS ,came about cos at the time he called himself,"ALEX TRICITY",!At that time i was callin myself,"TOM ORROW".This was early 78-late 78.We went to see ,"THE CLASH",on parole,July 5th,Aberdeen,while we were waitin to get in we got talking to some of the other guys in the queue. This little kid say's ,"my names Des".He was about 10 years old!I said,"wot,Des Oconnor"?He say's,"No Des Gusting"!!

For a while, I was in a fake band named Whore Dog. One of the numerous fake members was my ex girlfriend Amy L. Nitrate.

I had a brief "studio only" band with my friend Andrew called The Poppy Seeds. We had about an eps worth of material mixed. I think I have it on a cassette somewhere.

Oh! I forgot entirely about my favorite fake band: The Christless Imps of Satan.

I was the "frontman," The Right Reverend Johnny "Bob" Diablo. I had a few people actually call me that, even if it was largely jokingly.

Wolt could paint himself yellow and call himself Jon Dus.

Eumaas can do Bowie covers as Gene Genie

Well, The Right Reverend was more of a Psychobilly Rabble Rouser, but I also went by Johnny Profane briefly during my punk days. It was a Pynchon reference. Later, when I was a "pretend groupie" for a friend's glam cover band, I called myself Jean Profane (like the French name, not the girl's name).

I used to get called Punk Rock Jon by my coworkers and customers at the Convenience Store I worked at.
