Nah...I was 33 when I got married. I think she knew that ship had sailed.
How long had you and VH been together at that point?
We got engaged after dating only about 10 months. But I had two serious relationships in my 20s that went nowhere.

My initial thought was, wow, that seems quick, but B and I only dated for about four months before we moved in together. But we'd also known each other for 2 or 3 years already. We've been together now just over half our lives, tho it seems much much longer.

Well, James must have spiked the drinks at his wedding or something, because today I asked the special lady friend to marry me and, against all reason and logic, she said yes.
Congrats, Flex!

It was pretty quick, but sometimes you just know, I guess.

I just got married after 9 years, so sometimes it has to hit you over the head with a rolling pin a few times.

As in recently? If so, congratulations, man! I like it when people I like do something that makes them happy. :approve:

Thanks! Yeah, it was just on Sunday. It was a pretty casual day, so that did make me happy. Plus people seemed to like the playlist I worked on for 6 hours, so that was fulfilling.

I'm pleased as punch for you both. After nine years together, of course it won't seem like a whole lot of difference, but there is something semi-mystical about formal marriage. A binding and extra level of mutual support.

Punch! I knew we forgot something! Thanks man. Yeah, so far it doesn't feel too different but it's still pretty new. It may hit me over time. It maybe doesn't help that we can't honeymoon until next year. I have a hard deadline at work so I'm back at it today already.

B and I never did a honeymoon, but then living with me is pretty much a honeymoon everyday.

*cough*
