I got a lot of respect for Kevin Carson's thinking and writing, so I was very happy when he tweeted out a recommendation for one of my many Podcasts.

Heh, that was the movie that Kaleb and Wolter decided I was a jerky jerk for not privileging entertainment value over historical respect. I'll make a rare foray into podcastery and listen to it once that horrible Vinyl Detective novel is done.
Be warned: you found these co-hosts smug on the Nixon/JFK episodes.
The same group? Should I expect more of the same from them? (More of the same from you would be good, of course.)

Yeah, same four guys. In my opinion, this is the best podcast the four of us have yet done and I have pride in the piece, but I - as you'd imagine - have some time for the other three's approaches and I don't think they've changed that noticably since then.

Well, I'll begin listening to it once I'm done that novel, but, based on the last one, I can't guarantee I'll see it thru to the end. Again, nothing against you whatsoever.

Appreciated and understood.

Well, it seems I have somehow found myself in a Twitter argument with the movie Buffy.

Really baffle her and explain how Gramsci argued that common sense is, in fact, widespresd, masked ideology. :shifty:

Gramsci may or may not have been a fan of the Buffy movie.

I can state with confidence that he would not regard it favourably.

One of the most generous uses of the word relevant on record.

Did I really? I've never seen it. Was I drinking?
