Yeah I didn't think I was xourting controversy when i said it.
Background: my wife says i eat too much red meat. I like making meatballs so I thought I'd try some ground turkey instead. They not only looked kind of anemic they just didnt taste too good not nasty just pretty unexciting. Maybe I need to do something more to improve the flavor. Im open to suggestions.

I find the major problem with ground turkey is the same with boneless, skinless chicken: not enough fat, so it gets dry. You can reintegrate a little oil before cooking- it's still fat, but a lot of cooking oils are at least a little healthier than animal fat.

Even just using some olive oil spray or something can help on that front. I usually cook with turkey skinless chicken breast and such. Healthier.
