Training consists of letting you use your best judgement and chastising when it goes against the unwritten code.
Or feeling stupid when asking for clarification.

An observation spanning many years and many employers: Most companies don't know how to train new employees. :meh:
And this includes not for profits.

Unintended third update of the washer/dryer saga. They were just delivered and one of the delivery guys was Big Papi's smaller brother. No, not in a white guy "all black people look the same to me" way. He seriously looked like David Ortiz, right down to the gap between his front teeth, even his voice. Just not superhuman-sized like Papi. It was eerie.
So without the PEDs?

Me: What time are you going to be home?
The Boss: Five-ish.
Me: Finkel.
The Boss: *eyes roll*
I do this too because I suck.
Every time I turn the central heating on at home I always start singing "The heating's on" to the tune of The Heat Is On by Glen Frey, much to my girlfriend's annoyance.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

When it’s cold, both my wife and I pull this one on each other:

A: Could you check to see if the heat is on?
B: Yeah, the heat is on.
A: (deadpan) Is it on the street?

You guys, Rodney Anonymous (who, for some reason, follows me on Twitter), liked my tweet last night about VH, Jr.'s summer camp plans. Which I find oddly endearing and hilarious at the same time.

Earlier my wife came back from the gym and so me sitting around and asked what I'd been up to.

I said made dinner and helped our son with his homework.

She says "oh taking care of business".

I say "Every Day".

She says nothing and keeps walking by and of course the kid was no help either.
