My neighbor is a good dad. Not sure what goes on in the house, but he's always outside playing with his kids. I remember mine playing with us once or twice.

And, of course, none of you were included in the "people I hate" camp.

C'mon, they are bloody adorable. And they'll keep Buddy entranced.

That's one thing I love about our squirrels, that they know the cats can't hurt them, so they're willing to come right up to the window and razz them, which just drives the cats wild.

This is Nick. The cats love him. Nora doesn't come to the window as often, keeping mainly to the space below the bird feeder.

Adorable names—as I recall, you're a fan of the Thin Man movies.

I refer to all black squirrels as Pete and all grey squirrels as Lana. Petes are generally more bold than Lanas.

My sister-in-law's grandson posted something on FB the other day. He railed against racists, homophobes, and immigrant haters, and so forth. My sister-in-law is...well...kinda horrible. She's a Maggot, posts anti-immigrant memes, and the like. She responded to his post with all sorts of agreement, yay-yay-rah-rah, you're so right. The very next day, she starts with all the political shit. It made me realize something: she must believe that what she is saying isn't hateful. She really believes that she's still a jeebus loving christian despite all the hateful rhetoric.
