I once got the check of a lesser employee "performance wise" who was getting paid more than I.

Just spent all morning at a record fair and not one 2Tone record on sale let alone one I need 😞
There was also no Clash records although I was tempted to buy a copy of the Concert For The People For Kampuchea double album.
Aptly I did see this

I was recently in a manager's meeting as part of a day shadowing an operations supervisor, the role I'm interviewing for next week. We got handed print outs of the prior day's productivity. I made the company the most, about £10,000 that day, about twice what the next person down had done. There was a young woman who had made the company nothing. We get paid the same at the moment.

Probably why no one bought it.

Interestingly tonight I thought I’d listen to the Kampuchea album I didn’t buy. It’s on Spotify with the correct album art but even though the tracklist is the same and in the same order, Spotify sources the tracks from the albums they aren’t the live tracks from the show?? The Aramagideon Time is from the Hits Back album and The Specials Monkey Man is from the 2002 remaster of The Specials, weird

Will be a licensing issue I expect I've got that vinyl album. But never play it since the tracks plus others were uploaded in great quality to Dine-a-Dozen a couple of years ago. The brilliant version of Bankrobber is from that upload.

Why not just not list it there’s plenty of other stuff they don’t have.
How many additional tracks are on the upload?

I'm writing lectures these days. One of the lectures is based on a diss chapter I wrote and was looking for a picture of a junkie who died in the 50s and who I wrote about briefly. Googling her generated several hits for my diss. So, my education wasn't all for nought. Unfortunately, the pictures I can find are her morgue shots, which I ain't gonna use.

Why not? Push the envelope. Lecture has gotten stale. Jazz it up.

My lecture's gone stale already? Gah!

No, in a weird way, I do care about this girl who's been dead for 67 years now. She led such a troubled and short life, one that I'm exploiting for educational reasons. I don't want to use her in a demeaning manner, especially in the way that anti-drug writers did back in the 50s.
