We had a neighbour in Saskatoon a few houses down and we could never remember his name. We settled on Steve? (the question mark at the end was key to pronunciation). The weird thing is that once we moved east, I've never forgotten that his name was Jason.

Is it ok to ask the leader of the Labour Party if she is planning to have children if she wins the election and therefore whilst she is Prime Minister. Discuss.
So the Prime Minister is pregnant, well that must be a first.

Horrible with names, great with faces. Horrible with names...except for the dogs in the neighborhood. Don't remember the owner's names, tho.
The only living thing in my neighborhood that I'm not related to whose name I know is a beagle named Lucy that lives about a block and a half away. I *think* her owner has brown hair and maybe a daughter? Don't quote me.

Doc and 101W: I'm the exact same with names. Even people whose names I know very well often elicit a struggle from me before it will come out. Everyone I know is named "hey there!" or "hello" or "what's up?"

I can't remember my own number without looking but I can tell you that when I lived in Summerville, SC from ages 8-11, my phone number was 803-875-5081.

David Lloyd George was the inspiration for Schwarzenegger's Junior. He was out of office at the time though.

It's a nice story, but it's an urban myth spread by French socialists in the 30s.

I just realized who this guy was. I worked extensively with him on a grant proposal last year. I didn't recognize him at all. I tell VH all the time that he's lucky I recognize him.
Last year!! I thought you were going to say in 2003 or something 😆
I know. It's really bad!

TOTALLY.

And I too remember my childhood phone number ((303) 773-1515), but can't tell you what I had for breakfast this morning.

Yeah I'd blame this all on aging but I've always been this way.

My Mum was too until recently (and one of those old fashion phones 📞) but the number grew considerably longer from when we first got it which was 3543. They added a 7 or 9 to all numbers after the first digit, then a few years later an 8 at the beginning. Even the area code grew from 3 to 5 digits. I lost track after that.
