a "snek" playing with its supper
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

X-ray of puppy who got into the dry food bag and completely stuffed himself on kibble.

That's awful.

I wonder if that's what my dog's stomach looked like that day he decided to break into the bag of rice (not cooked). :meh:

If you're feeling a little jaded around this time of year, here's a precious feral angel who was rescued off the streets of NYC. No one knows for sure what happened to her. Car, scooter, evil person whose dick will rot off, or what. Her name is Frida. Scroll through the IG feed to see her story. If you're easily grossed out by gross stuff, don't click the link. Brace your heart, tho.

This is the guy who rescued her.
https://www.instagram.com/paulthecatguy/ Scroll down a bit to see where Frida's story began. (If you scroll through his feed, you'll see a lot of heartbreaking and triumphant stories of feral cats being given a second chance.)

This is sad, rage inducing (if the damage was done by a human), and heartwarming all at once.

Good heart on this guy. Thanks for sharing. Amazing what a little love and care can do - not just to the animal being saved - but to help restore faith in humanity. We share our house with 4 rescued street cats. Thankfully, none of them went through anything like this - but there is nothing like living with a rescued animal. They’re the best animal companions you could ask for.

Sad turn of events. This little trooper of a cat was just diagnosed with cancer. She went in for an Xray to see why her face keeps swelling and found that cancer had spread through the bones on her face. I can't imagine any good news coming out of this. I feel so badly for the woman who took her in. She fell in love with Frida before she even picked her up. Fuck cancer.

It seems like this happens all too often in rescue. I guess the one positive is that she will get to have her final moments in a loving environment and won't die alone.

She's gone. After seeing how the cancer had spread they chose to put her down while she was still slightly sedated from the Xray. The sole consolation, like you said, is that she was surrounded by a loving family. *sigh*

These kinds of stories always bring me back to the Calvin & Hobbes story about him finding the sick baby raccoon.
