About ten minutes from the town (walking) but we have a lot of fields behind where we live and yes he is high energy and Mac has a few issues with walking. He stoops constantly to look for cats under cars if walked in the roads, so it has to be the fields.
Heh. I'd love a border collie because they're so damn smart, but I know I couldn't provide it with the room and time it needs to run.

I love border collies. It's nice to have an intelligent animal as a pet.

Yeah he's smart he knows if I ask him to select The Clash on the stereo he just skips right past "Cut the Crap" and sticks on "From Here To Eternity".

Tito is missing, if he is dead i will lose my mind. He is out playing all day long, and he comes in every night around 10PM (give or take an hour) to sleep in the bed, and it never fails, ever. He did not come home last night, and I woke up every hour to look for him.

Wow, that's really sad, mate. You obviously care about him.
I'm sure he's fine.
Have you/will you put up flyers?

That's a bummer Tep, best of luck in finding him.

I guess we will after work. He wanders, just last week a lady called me because my phone # is on his tag, to tell me how far he wandered, and I just said, what can I do? he won't stay in the house/yard.

Oh, also my wife said he has a chip. I don't really know what that means, like he has Lojack or something.

That's very good. If he's found or picked up by animal control, they can scan his chip and get back to you.

You don't live in any areas that are uninhabited do you? I mean like hills and parks and stuff. Not to get you too worried, but when I lived down your way, we lost a cat to coyotes.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

No, I live in Little Armenia. Half Armenians, half Mexicans, and an elementary school. All houses and apartments, and a lot of neighborhood cats.

That's a bummer, man. If he's got a tag with a phone # and a chip, that's a good start though. Best of luck finding him (or him finding you)

I'm hoping to pull in my driveway at 6 oclock and he's laying on his little designated blanket next to the front door. If not, the worrying really begins.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts.

Also, this is the EXACT REASON that I never had a pet as an adult.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Tep. It's a real plus that he's microchipped...If someone picks him up and takes him to a vet, the pound, etc, they will scan him. When Scott and I were in Seattle last summer, we found this Golden Retreiver on the street and after asking around the neighborhood, we took him to an animal hospital. They scanned him and phoned his guardians right away. I'm sorry you are going through this...it's just awful.
