I've read about this other places, presumably piggybacking off of this article. It immediately made me think of Leigh Montville's Ted Williams bio and what his shitheel son did to Ted, day in and day out autographing items to be sold, even as the old man was in extremely poor health. Like a sick cow being milked to get every last drop before she dies. Ted was a crappy father in many, many ways, but what John Henry Williams did to his dad was parasitic.

Okay, Marlin may or may not be able to turn into a shadow creature (likewise Mark himself plus the rhino!), and there's still the possibility that Jim could be a changeling. What I'm say is that the possibilities have not been ruled out.

He was armed with a sharp stick, you know.

When is Mark going to punch someone? I will be so disappointed if nobody thru this whole story arc gets punched. Dodd and Elrod wouldn't stand for this!!!

Political correctness probably. Mark cares more about feelings and fake news now.

My paper only carried Sunday Mark Trail, which is basically just Mark calmly narrating the comic book equivalent of a non-violent nature documentary. I was amazed to learn he had “adventures.”
