I will lose my mind if Dr. Camel looks even remotely like eumaas.

Dr. Camel looks neither like a camel nor a eumaas.
However, even the people of Nepal have heard about how Mark dumped a pregnant walrus in the back of a car as a prank.

I'll be honest, my heart sank that he looks more like a yeti than any of the other possibilities. The story better evolve into Mark punching this fucker.Kory wrote: ↑23 Sep 2019, 1:42pmJeez, he doesn't even have a hump. Maybe he's a real player.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑23 Sep 2019, 8:02am

Gotta remind myself that this is a domestic annihilator on the run. Re: Flex and Wolter's Den of Nerdly Awesomeness
Last night I was trying to track down an iffy citation of an old Mad piece that I wanted to use. It was iffy enough that I had to fire thru the first 100 issues to locate it. But, in the process, I found that in the original comic-book sized format of Mad, they put out a Mark Trail parody. It ain't the greatest thing in the world, but if you're curious, someone else scanned and uploaded it.

Ha, excellent. I used to devour those old Mad comic-book era reprints and collections - i vaguely remember reading this one before but had no idea about the reference point. Funny that it's gotten more relevant, culturally speaking, for me over time rather than less.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑24 Sep 2019, 2:39pmLast night I was trying to track down an iffy citation of an old Mad piece that I wanted to use. Re: Flex and Wolter's Den of Nerdly Awesomeness
I was a regular Mad consumer until maybe '83. The endless reprints—super specials—that were always in used shops meant I was well up on the late 60s to 70s material, which was its creative and influential peak. Weird to say, but in retrospect I think I got most of my news about the world from Mad. Their unwillingness to take anything seriously, that nothing of celebrity was worthy of respect, was a hell of a lot more punk in nature than Boomerish.Flex wrote: ↑24 Sep 2019, 3:06pmHa, excellent. Dr. Camel seems to have a short fuse. Given that Mark just killed his wife, bloodshed would appear to be imminent.

That close framing of his face in the last panel is a good indicator of impending murder too.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 Sep 2019, 8:17am

The trip is being funded on the assumption they're going to find a yeti? There'll be no Christmas party this year because of dumb-ass expenditures that lead to no stories. Also, Mark seems to suggest that he's going to murder Dr. Camel, as he well should.
