Rush is basically the Canadian national band right?. In the pantheon, it's
1. Rush
2. Baren Naked Ladies
3. Bryan Adams

Neil Young converted to (US) American back in the sixties so he doesn't count, plus he sucks.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Maybe at one time they ranked that highly. I have no idea who could make that claim now. Nickelback?

I like more Neil Young songs than I like Bruce Springfield songs.

That's because you're not a monster. Or, you're the good kind of monster. A werewolf.

Seriously, Pots, what are we gonna do with you?

I'm 99.9% sure that Harv is from St. Louis, because this is the lineup of who is coming to the Verizon Ampitheater this summer.

You owe to Harv to attend, sit on your husband's shoulders, and flick your lighter when Night Ranger does "Sister Christian."

It would be a fitting honor. Though I understand the kids today use cellphones instead of lighters. Pussies.

I don't have a problem with him as a person or a songwriter, it's just his voice that ruins everything. It's so whiny and shrill, whenever he tries to sound as badass as his lyrics, he just fails miserably. For this reason, I can not tolerate the music he sings on. He did have that "bing" song which was good, but he didn't sing on it.

Actually, NY would probably concede this last point. Back in the 80s when everyone was doing their starving African songs, Canada's musicians did one, "Tears Are Not Enough" under the name Northern Lights. There was a small documentary that was shown about the creation of song and video. I recall a scene where the producer(?) kept getting NY to redo his part, saying that he's off-key or something like that. Finally, NY says, "Hey man, that's my style." And that's that—the off-key bit is left in the song.

Wow, I had never heard of this:

It's so Canadian and so...lame.
I only recognized four of the people - NY, Geddy Lee, Bryan Adams, and the sunglasses at night guy. Was that a minor league hockey team at the end??? Thank you so much for sharing that.
